Writing research articles for academic journals

Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School recently hosted an online guest session on “How to Write Really Good Articles for Premier Academic Journals.” Students, researchers, and faculty members interested in improving their academic writing abilities actively participated in the session. The session aimed to introduce the participants to the strategies and techniques for writing academic articles, enhance their understanding of the expectations of academic journals, improve their writing and presentation skills, and to motivate them to write research articles.

Dr. Raja Sankaran, a well-known scholar and researcher with a wealth of experience writing in prestigious journals, led the session. In his opening remarks, Dr. Sankaran emphasized the importance of publishing in prestigious journals for advancement in both academia and the workplace. He emphasized the need for careful planning and presentation of research effort as well as the competitive aspect of academic publishing. Starting with the preliminary steps of selecting a research topic and ending with the submission of the article, Dr. Sankaran addressed a number of topics related to academic writing. He elaborated on the several key points, like identifying and formulating research questions, literature review, writing the manuscript, citations, submission and peer-review process. A question and answer session followed.

International Conference on Harmony in Innovation

Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School recently hosted a 3-day international conference, the 4th annual international conference on “Harmony in Innovation: Navigating Global Business Landscapes through Emerging Technologies with Dynamic Management Strategies”. The conference was hosted in collaboration with EMAA Business School, Morocco, the Centre of Economic Diplomacy, Croatia, Europe, Dr. Soetomo University, Indonesia, Boston International College, Nepal, Jansons School of Business, Coimbatore, India, Association of Indian Management Schools, India, and the Center for Education Growth and Research, India. The conference aimed to provide researchers, industry practitioners, academicians, research scholars, and students with strong research orientation and a forum for discussing and presenting new ideas adopted by businesses and education sector to enhance productivity with the help of technology by embracing the new world of hybrid, and to understand how the business and education sectors are enhancing productivity through the hybrid mode of working.

The conference was attended by delegates from including the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, New Zealand, Nigeria, Slovakia, Peru, Russia, Iraq, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Tunisia, Egypt, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Denmark, besides India.

Traditional Day

The faculty and students of Dr. D Y Patil Unitech Arts, Commerce and Science College recently arranged a Traditional Day. The students arrived dressed traditionally, symbolizing India's diversity. Each college student arrived dressed in their finest traditional garb. The college observed a customary day to honor "Diversity in Unity." The students donned clothing representative of their preferred culture. During the program, students from the cultural department showcased their abilities. The occasion acted as a reminder of Indian cultural principles, such as "Unity in Diversity." The effective celebration of Traditional Day was the outcome of the students' enthusiastic engagement in the program's organization.

Pharma Industry CEO Conclave 2024

The Pharma Industry CEO Conclave 2024 was hosted by Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research in collaboration with the Operant Pharmacy Federation. It was on the topic "Nurturing Future Pharma Leaders: Inspiring Tomorrow's Entrepreneurs." The CEO Conclave gave participants useful insights and tools to navigate the changing pharmaceutical industry landscape in addition to offering a forum for stimulating conversation and idea sharing. The occasion motivated and encouraged the next generation of pharmaceutical industry leaders while encouraging creativity, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning among academics.

Shantata Punekar Wachat Ahet

DYPDPU celebrated SHANTATA PUNEKAR WACHAT AHET on 11^th December 2024 in which students and faculties engaged themselves in reading books from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon. They were informed about the importance of reading books and Books as good friends. The participants were invited to visit the PUNE LITERATURE FESTIVAL at Ferguson College between 14th Dec to 22 Dec 2024.
